A meaningful story that i think it's worth sharing.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

it's a holiday today. boring!
neither do i feel good about it.

went summer breeze yesterday night for a couple of drinks. reached there at around 11 and we drank till around 2. went to cass's house after that to meet up with buddies. played with her dog and it's really a gd exercise. kept talking to Jo cos the rest of the girls went to sleep earlier. went back home at around 6 plus in the morning, was damn shag. have not done my tutorials! gonna start soon.

things just ain't the same anymore. i know i'm selfish, i've got my reasons for doing so. you might get pissed off, but yea, i still got to apologize. sorry.

school's great today. psychology lecture followed by business stats. i got wonderful lecturers at both lectures. why? because they won't interfere in our sleep! lol. but honestly speaking, really enjoyed the way they teach. After sch went back hm, slpt for two hours or so, then went back to school for the TP's engine concert 2008 with KJ and his clique of friends. was really a wonderful concert, enjoyed myself there. headed back home after.

great thing is, i've decided to pon macroecons lec tmr, which means that i've got no school tmr! cheers :D time for a really good sleep. haven't really been adapting to schooling hours ever since holidays end. hope there will be great days ahead in school.

sch was gd so far, except for the boring lectures i got, gosh, there's more coming. haha. there's a super funny lecturer today. " LECTURE STARTS AT 9 SO I EXPECT YOU GUYS TO TURN UP AT 8.50!" and "HELLO SIR, WOW YOU'RE LATE! I HOPE TO SEE YOU AT 9 NEXT LECTURE." and practically, she's saying this sentence to everyone who came in late for lecture. OMG, it was really irritating. met up with Gary after school, accompanied him to golden mile to get his marriage certificate to be translated to Thai. i didn't know you could do that actually, kinda cool. it costs him $40 actually to do that. he treated me to thai food after that. it was good, minced meat with chilli padi and some stuffs with rice and a sunny side up. i would eat that again if i am going for thai food the next time. after that we walked to bugis and purchased his "transformer book". i thought he wasn't serious when he talked about putting robot tattoos on his body. but i'm wrong, he really wanted to put that. even bought the book from kinokuniya for drawing the robots.

After that we really got nth left to do. so we walked and walked and walked. for no reasons, he told me a lot of things today, which i think, can apply in our daily lives. i will bear all those in mind. He really taught me how to deal with different people and difficulties. i really appreciate it. thanks !:D he went geylang after that and i went bedok to buy otaks!

reached home, mum prepared lots of food, buddies all came to my hse and had a feast cos my mum said she wanted to treat them to a meal as it was my lunar bday-.- it's really thoughtful of her, and i'm glad that they enjoyed the meal. almost finished everything. haha. overall it's an enjoyable day, thou it's simple :)

went timbre @ the substation to celebrate rach's bday. we were the last to reach there cos we spent 1 hr or so walking here and there to find that freaking place! damn hot and tired. zz. sat awhile, drank a couple of beer before we went. so sorry didnt get to hear your boyf sing cos toh and yk really got to go and you guys had to go with us. sorry abt it yeah, feel kinda guilty over it. zz. after that toh and yk went back hm, and i went to pasir ris to meet ken and went over to his friend's chalet.

when we reached there, his 3 friends spoke alien language to themselves which i totally can't understand. in the end i found out that they're cambodians. cool! it was one of the girls' bday. she got a cool name. Soan. 1st time i came across this name. foreign students studying in sg. played cards with them, our rules at first, then we switched to the cambodian style. i enjoyed playing the cambodian style. damn fun. lol. left at 1.30am. had a terrible headache omg. zz. gna slp now!:D

i don't know what came into me but i just feel like blogging this out and i swear this will be an emo entry.

memories exist because they're there for us to learn and cherish. yea, i'm very happy during that period of time, when we went drinking together, talk cock sessions and seeing your effort to do something which is very simple for someone you loved once. since reality doesn't allow us to be friends and maybe because of certain misunderstandings or let's just say we're selfish, we just think about ourselves. however, since we were once friends for a short period of time, i really do appreciate the things u've done and i'm really glad at least you've treated me as a friend of yours before. we can't say that you're selfish or whatever, it's human nature. i really don't know what is the cause that made you went into some deep shit, and i guess i don't have to know. i can only hope that you can stand up on your feet as soon as possible. No worries, no other motives, i won't gain a cent from you after you recover, i just meant well.

maybe you thought that it's harsh that we treated you this way and as friends, we didn't really help you out. but in a way or another, i rather feel that this is a valuable lessons for all ur friends around you and urself to learn. It's not that people around u are harsh towards you, but rather this world is rotating in this manner. at least there's a lesson learnt, and this price you paid teaches you something that not everyone will experience.

you might think all these are bullshit, up to you :) maybe i'm just the soft hearted one that cant really put all these behind me.

time to put a full stop to all my bad habits and welcome a new start. i don't know i'll succeed or not, but i'm gna try :) at least i've succeeded for a day.

445 yesterday night. we're really like ahpeks, sitting at coffeeshop chit chatting throughout the night. was quite alright, at least there's entertainment like rick broke his slippers, cs being sore when we teased him, and shawn who speaks a lot of logic. lol. surprisingly, adam was there too. all the best to his As. hope he really can make it..

oosh is a very nice place to chill, especially with the cool friends i have around me. we had laughter and joy over there. especially some of us actually wanted to "step potato". LOL. and toh spoke fking loud when he was trying to mimick what our table beside us was talking about. that really made us laughed out ass out. cool place with cool people, totally cool! lol. well, the pizza there was not bad, espically my fav thai one. and their blue ocean cocktail, worth to give it a try, thou the price might be kinda steep. well, we all were prepared to drink, but i guess it's just not the day to do that. clubs are not really in our trend right now, we're looking around for atas places! lol.

after oosh was munching doughsticks at geylang. we stopped about 5 cabs before a cab driver wanted to fetch us 5 ppl there. One of the cab drivers who rejected us was !@#$. he said " tio orh kong insurance cannot claim." it's like wtf, u don't have to be so sacarstic right. all of us feel like giving him one tight slap on his face. LOL. geylang's youtiao still the best (: after that headed right back home. well, school is starting for them coming monday, while i'm left with another week. BORING! i wished school can start earlier. holidays are getting draggy and boring. looking forward to our hk trip!

pong, i can already smell the cordon bleu.. hahaha! think u've to open it soon, no choice, i'm fking craving for it. btw, cordon bleu @ oosh is $500. so actually we already saved a huge sum of money getting it at DFS. let's save up some money and get blue label next time round yeah. it's 660 @ oosh ok! somemore all at 750ml. haha! ur 5 ply gucci toilet roll, i'll get it for you if i strike it rich ok? i promise. LOL.

i feel kinda relieved now. at least i know i've tried :) i just don't have the luck and fate. lol. still, all the best!

headed down to simpang bedok yesterday. was a last min decision since lionel jio-ed. haha. so poon yk toh and me went down, had our supper and decided to buy some drinks to drink in lionel's house. settled on 2 bottles of red wine, thou it doesn't taste that gd but it's still wine afterall. lol. so we chit chatted and talked about overseas trip. so we actually decided to go HK coming dec holis. haha! so cool lah. not to waste time anymore, we searched on the airplane tickets prices and the hotel prices so that it can fit our budget in. finally, we settled on jetstar airline and maybe metro park hotel. damn looking forward to this trip, thou i know it's gna cost a bomb to me :( ok prive on sat anyone?

i'm really fking lazy to do anything now. just feel like lying on my bed 24/7.

went to simpang bedok for supper ystd night. bugged Lionel to come and join us too. haha. sat down crapped for awhile before we went to buy some beer and chill at another place near his house. Surprisingly, we talked about property prices, cars, banking and etc. These aren't the topic we should talk about actually, but yeah, since all of us know a bit here and there what's going on, so why not? thou it's kinda bored. haha. one of these days we shld really go out and have a drink or two yeah. no boat quay please! haha. time to upgrade already. coming wed or fri? well, it's stay home Monday for me.

went east coast park again on fri night. since andy got a bbq there, might as well go there and meet them to chill or smth. lol. me and yk reach there around 11+, as he had to do smth before going over there. well, thou it's kinda bored, but i really enjoy that night, with her company. haha.

don't think gna have a chalet on my bday anymore. maybe just a simple meal outside will do with some close friends will do. then a chilling session at some bars :) isn't anything special anyw.

went praying with shawn early in the morning ystd. after that went down to tamp to meet up with cs n yk. slacked there for awhile before acc-ing yk to go down kakit bukit to give Anthony something. went back home to slp after that. lol. woke up, ate and feeling boring. decided to go out. in the end toh yk poon and me decided to go geylang for some frog porridge. so i suggested lor 9. went down there, ate and drank, nowhere to go again. therefore we walked all the way to kallang leisure park. LOL. from there, we intended to walk to east coast or the SG flyers but, eventually we failed. cabbed down to ECP, talk and chill over at Mac. was quite an interesting chilling session. we can talk almost everything. chilled till ard 6am in the morning then we decided to cab back hm since there's no more extra charge. well.. as for tonight.. hmm.. ZOUK OR DOUBLE O? LOL!

well, spent my night over at lionel's house playing monopoly. gt cheated down by poon telling me he was chased by some malays and in the end shawn drove me down and it was a lie, created by yk. WTF. had quite an enjoyable night. i'm going to pray with shawn later on, so yep, today is a vegeterian day for me, thou i'm very used to consuming meat all the while, but for the sake of this, i got to bear it for a day. need to catch some slp right now.

well Gina, since ur phone is lost, take it as a blessing in disguise. I think the person who took ur phone won't have an easy time too. Just have to be careful about ur belongings next time and to be more attentive to them. You don't always lost your phone, so to err once or twice, i guess it's okay. who don't get fucked by their parents when they lost their phones right? hope u can get it over you soon! (: and yeah, canon cameras are real cool!
